Our People

The management team at R2O each have over 18 years experience working in their professional fields of expertise and have worked in the public and private sectors both within New Zealand and overseas.  Having worked in large, multi-disciplinary organisations in the past, the R2O management team had experienced firsthand the quality control and communication issues that are so often a challenge in such large organisations.  These past experiences resulted in the R2O management team’s decision to create a boutique consultancy firm that is managed and staffed by experienced professionals who pride themselves on providing a high quality service.  All projects are coordinated and worked by one of the following members of our management team.

Richard Prof  Richard Osborne - Director

Richard is a Chartered Professional Engineer who has extensive civil engineering and project management experience having worked on a wide variety of land development projects in Asia, the Pacific and New Zealand.  He has a wide range of expertise specialising in civil infrastructure design, project management and administration, contract document preparation, contract supervision, preparation of project feasibility assessments and costings, and mediation and dispute resolution.  Richard started his career as a site engineer in Singapore, before returning to New Zealand in the mid 1990’s to work as a consulting engineer in several large multi-disciplinary consultancy firms.  Richard became an Associate, then Director, in Davis Ogilvie & Partners in 2001, leaving at the end of 2009 to start R2O Consultants.

Outside of work Richard is actively involved in whatever keeps his wife happy and the extra curricula activities of his three children, including managing and coaching his daughters netball teams.  When time permits, Richard likes to scuba dive and play social cricket.

Claudine Prof  Claudine Osborne - Director

Claudine is a Resource Planner and Environmental Engineer experienced in all aspects of environmental and resource management planning.  She has a wide range of expertise, specialising in the preparation of resource consent applications, the presentation of expert evidence, affected parties consultation and project management.  Claudine has had eight years experience working as a Planner in local government, with a further 12 years experience as a Planner in private consultancy.  She has experience in all aspects of land use planning and resource management, having been involved in the policy, regulatory and consultancy fields of her profession.
